Life Travel Gold Pass:
Ape makna? Travel advantage kepada former member parliments during their lifetime! Lifetime tu bro...ok berikut ape yg depa dpt:
- An entitlement to a cap of 25 domestic return trips annually for former eligible parliamentarians during their lifetime. (main cap cam phone la plak)
- Travel to be "not for a commercial purpose" (yeah, makan² angin)
- Travel is by scheduled air, rail, bus, tram, ferry or vehicular service or on a combination of these scheduled services (naik la ko ape saje)
- Travel is at the class determined for serving parliamentarians, currently First or Business Class. The Remuneration Tribunal determines the class of travel for serving parliamentarians (nak yang selesa saje)
- Accrued Frequent Flyer Points to be used to offset future travel in line with government policy. Any Points used in this way will "count" against the entitlement cap (tak paham pesal aku tak bley ade Frequent Flyer tp depa bley)
- Serving parliamentarians who become eligible for a Life Gold Pass, shall have it suspended until they retire from Parliament
- The "legally married husband…or wife" of a Life Gold Pass holder is entitled to a cap of 25 domestic return trips. Each trip must be for the purpose of "accompanying or joining" the Pass holder (perkkkk kalau 5 bini dah meriah dah trips)
OKey...ni plak Departent of Finance and Administration Reports indicate that in the 6 month period between July to December:
- Over $434,000.00 was spent on free travel for retired politicians and their spouses that hold life gold travel passes.
- Over $71,000.00 was spent on free travel for retired politicians and their spouses that are not eligible to hold life gold travel passes.
- Over $64,000.00 was spent on free travel, private plated vehicles and Comcar expenses for ex Prime ministers.
Hu hu hu kuat tul jalan derang ni. Neway, ni utk FORMER je baru...tu only for travel tak termasuk accomodations, allowance and what not. Dan kalau include the current parlimentarians? haa begini some of the figure you can see here. Amcam? Menarik...
Mende ni dah lame dah jadi issue sbb the amount they spend for those ppl are too ridiculous and unnecessary. I saw it in Today Tonight program the other day, mmg dasyat figure depa ni. Aku skang nak angin sket bukan ape, sbb smalam aku dpt emel from Public Service Commissioner:
"I wish to inform you that the Premier has requested that, unless exceptional circumstances apply, it is now mandatory for Government employees to use the Airtrain service when travelling to and from the Brisbane CBD and Brisbane airport on official business during operational hours of the service. This initiative is seen as a way to both reduce costs and the Queensland Government's carbon footprint. All staff travelling to and from Brisbane airport must ensure compliance with this policy which applies with immediate effect"
Valid grounds for exemption might include -
- Value for money (eg where there are a number of people to be transported and the cost of a taxi service is less than that of the Airtrain service); (not relevant!kalau 3 ppl share in a taxi dah cheaper than airtrain!)
- A significant quantity of goods are being transported in addition to personal luggage; (not relevant! aku cnthnye ade 1 luggage, 1 beg golf + hand carry, takkan nak usung ke hulur hilir ke station kan?)
- The traveller is physically unable to use the train service. (hmmm??tak kira la, not relevant gak!)
Panas gak aku sbb petang ni fly to Brisbane ade meeting esok, daaaah kene kejo tren..ceit!
Yours Truthfully,
-Pekeje kerajaan yang emo-
